PORN INDUSTRY - WITH CADE MADDOX

por TheMenStyle | 22•07•2020
Where are you from?
I am from Mississippi. The most southern part of the state. We call it, the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Your trajectory is successful within the porn universe.  How did the opportunity to record for the first time come about?
I was actually visiting my Mom in Ohio. There was a guy who hit me up on Grindr, said he was a producer and asked me if I ever thought about doing porn?. He had a few websites and an impressive following. And I guess I had thought about it a time or two like, “yeah, it’d be pretty cool to fuck and get paid for it”. So, I went over to the hotel he was staying at and fucked his boyfriend while he recorded it. After I finished the scene, he asked me if I wanted to join them on the road- he was traveling the United States by car with three other guys. They were driving to small towns across the Country looking for guys who wanted to shoot a porno and make some quick cash. I traveled the entire Country with them for about 7 months before being discovered by more prominent studios.

What do you think is important to be able to stand out in this environment?
I think being the best version of yourself is really the only advantage any of us have. There’s always going to be a bigger dick than yours and there’s always going to be a better body than yours. But there’s only one you. You should always strive to be the best version of you.

Have you had any special involvement with any scene partners?
Yes. My very first scene that I shot for CockyBoys was with Max Adonis. Started dating not too long after that. We were together for about a year before going our separate ways. The guy I’ve been dating for the past year and a half, Kevin Benoit, is not in the industry.

What would you say is a negative side of the profession?
The only negative for me is that I view sex as a business now. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy sex. I love my job. But I just don’t want to cum unless I’m getting paid for it.

And positive?
The positive is that this profession has allowed me to travel the world and make countless memories with wonderful people in some of the most amazing places. I feel like I’m living in a dream. I’m getting paid to travel, party and have sex!

Have you ever refused to do a scene?
Actually, yes, I have. For the first year or so in my career, I said yes to every scene that I was offered. I felt like I just needed to get myself out there and be noticed, no matter who the studio paired me with, I felt like I needed to make it work. Sometimes I was into the guy, and sometimes I wasn’t. I had the mindset of, I’ll do what I CAN do, until I can do what I WANT to do. My second year in the industry, I signed as an Exclusive with Falcon Studios. Once I signed with Falcon, I felt I had reached my goal of being noticed. Now, I felt like my job was to give them the best sex scenes possible. In order to do that, I felt like I needed to have a say in my scene partner. I rejected several scene partners they proposed. I think if I’m really into my scene partner, It’s better for the studio because I feel like they’re getting their money’s worth. And it’s better for my image, because I’m putting out better material.

Would you say that acting you are a little yourself or are you 100% a character?
I’m 100% myself when it comes to the sex in the films. The only time I’m acting is when I’m cast in a movie that has B-roll, lines and a script I have to remember. My favorite movies to do are ‘All Sex’ movies. No B-roll or script, just sex. It’s in these movies that I feel I can be 100% myself.

What is fundamental in sex for you?
Passion. I love passionate sex. Even if it’s with someone whom I don’t even know their name, the passion still needs to be there. A good kisser is a must. I’ve actually had to stop a scene once to teach a guy how to kiss.

What are your cares to keep your body perfect?
I feel like taking care of my body is my only job. My scenes and photo shoots will all fall into place if I just take care of my body. In the beginning of my career, when I was traveling the US with the producer I’d met, one of the habits that I developed was going to the gym every single day. No questions asked. You just do it. And when the producers are going through the pictures of potential models to cast, do you think they’re going to choose the guy with a great body? Or the guy with an average body? It just goes back to what I was saying earlier about being the best version of yourself.

You as an actor of adult videos are for many the reason for pleasure.  And you, do you have fetishes?  How is your relationship with sex off camera?
Honestly, I’m pretty vanilla when it comes to sex. My only fetish would be that I like raw sex. My relationship with sex off camera is the same as when I’m on camera. When you see me having sex on my OnlyFans, that’s exactly how I have sex if I’m not recording it. When you see me having sex for a studio scene, it’s pretty much how I would have sex off camera, minus the weird and uncomfortable positions they want us to do sometimes.

A remarkable moment in your career?
The most remarkable moment in my career is winning Performer of the Year at this year’s 2020 GayVN Awards. It’s such an amazing honor.

Do you know Brazil?  What do you think of the porn industry here?  Do you know any of our porn actors?
I actually went to Rio last year during Carnaval for my 31st Birthday. I had the time of my life. Such an amazing Country with beautiful people and wonderful food. I definitely want to go back and explore more parts of the Country once this COVID is under control.
I don’t really watch porn. So, I’m not familiar with the porn industry in Brazil or the porn actors- if you know of any hot bottoms tho, send them my way. The only reason I’m familiar with porn actors in the United States is because I’ve worked with them or I’ve seen them at the award shows. However, one of my good friends in the industry is Alam Wernik, and I know he’s from Brazil.

What is your relationship with fashion?  What do you most like to wear to feel stylish?
My relationship with fashion is a love-hate relationship. I love to look nice, but I hate to dress up. You’ll typically find me in something casual athletic.

Thank you Cade.
It was a pleasure to know more about your universe.
